Those stones are still on the bridge and I myself lifted one in each hand on many occasions and one market day, I carried them across the bridge and back, some four to five yards - Donald Dinnie.

Donna took on the stones for the first time at The Gathering III and successfully added his name to the roll of honour, making her only the 5th lady lifer. She also set a record in the Ardblair stones by becoming the first lady to load 7 of the 9 stones. Her lift was witnessed by the appointed judges for the event and the large crowd of athletes & spectators in attendance.
